community happens here
At Brazoria First Assembly, our mission is focused - turning valuable people into highly devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Something amazing happens when a life is turned around for Jesus Christ: homes, workplaces, schools, and communities grow stronger.
The church of Acts "turned the world upside down" by living out their faith in the community, not just the temple. Our desire is to model this by being a community of believers impacting our community.
WE’RE PART OF THE ASSEMBLIES OF GOD.
The Assemblies of God (AG) was founded in 1914 in Hot Springs, Arkansas with 300 people at the founding convention. Today there are 12,986 churches in the U.S. with more than 3 million members and adherents and more than 69 million worldwide, making the AG the world’s largest Pentecostal denomination.
As part of the AG, we subscribe to the 16 doctrines established two years after its founding. These doctrines became our Statement of Fundamental Truths. Four of these truths are considered our core beliefs due to the key role they play in reaching the lost and building the believer and the church: Salvation, Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Divine Healing and The Second Coming of Christ.
